Distant Neighbourhood Movie Announced

Belgian film company Entre Chien et Loup has announced plans to produce “Quartier lointain,” a live action feature based on Jiro Taniguchi’s award winning 1998 two-volume manga story “Harukana Machi e” (Distant Neighbourhood). The manga relates the story of a 48-year-old salaryman who returns to the small Japanese town he grew up in, and is transported back in time to his youth. The live action feature will change the setting from Japan to 1968 Paris, France.
