Discotek Reveals Multiple Acquisitions

Discotek has formally announced a selection of new title acquisitions: Itazura na Kiss, Shin Mazinger Z Impact, Super Dimension Century Orguss, and Zombie-Loan.

The 25-episode Itazura na Kiss TV series based on the manga by the late Kaoru Tada aired in 2008. Discotek will release the series on subtitled DVD.

The 26-episode “Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-Hen” television series aired in 2009. Discotek will release the “reimagining” of Go Nagai’s 1972 Mazinger Z manga on subtitled DVD next year.

US Renditions released the first 17 episodes of the 1983 35-episode Super Dimension Century Orguss television series on bilingual VHS. ImaginAsian Entertainment then released the complete series on domestic limited edition subtitled DVD, including the existing English dubs for episodes 1-17, in 2007. Discotek will re-release ImaginAsian’s release next year.

The 2007 13-episode Zombie-Loan TV series based on the manga by Peach-Pit will be released in a subtitled DVD set on September 30.
