Discotek License Rescues Gunbuster II
Discotek has announced its acquisition of the 2004 Gunbuster 2: Diebuster OVA series. The six-episode parallel story to the 1988 Gunbuster OVA series was initially released on American DVD by Bandai Visual in 2007. Discotek will release the series in a single subtitled DVD collection on May 21.

Great news! I personally never got around to picking this one up. The entire series is still fetching around $60, which isn’t too bad, but Discotek stands to beat that price.
Discotek could give it away, and you’d still be ripped off. I’d rather get a U.S. release of the remastered Gunbuster without that bs deleted Chariots of Fire homage scene music, please.
