Danshi Kokosei no Nichijo Live-Action Movie Announced

An official website has launched to announce word that Yasunobu Yamauchi’s comedy manga Danshi Kokosei no Nichijo (The Daily Lives of High School Boys) will be getting a live-action motion picture adaptation. Afro Tanaka director Daigo Matsui will helm the production that will star Masaki Suda (Kamen Rider W), Shuhei Nomura (GTO 2012), and Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze). The movie will revolve around a school festival being jointly planned by the Sanada North Boys High School and its adjacent all-girls high school. The movie will introduce an original female supporting character played by Rui Kurihara. The ongoing slice-of-life comedy manga premiered in 2009 and received a 12-episode anime television series adaptation last year. The movie will premiere on October 12.
