Dangerous Jii-san Ja Anime to Premiere Next Month

Japanese television network KIDS STATION reports that Dangerous Jii-san Ja, an anime TV series adaptation of Kazutoshi Soyama’s children’s gag manga, will premiere on October 20. Takashi Watanabe (Shakugan no Shana, Ikkitousen) is directing the anime at studio J.C. Staff. The studio initially produced a Dangerous Jii-san Ja OVA released with a special-edition issue of Coro Coro Comics magazine last July.

Soyama’s original Dangerous Jii-san manga was adapted into the 51-episode Zettai Zetsumei: Dangerous Jii-san anime TV series in 2004. The sequel manga premiered in 2010.
