Crunchyroll to Simulcast Gintama’ & Hanasaku Iroha

Crunchyroll has announced plans to simulcast next month’s Gintama’ anime television series, the third anime TV series (following Gintama and Yorinuke Gintama-san) based on Hideaki Sorachi’s popular shonen comedy manga series. Gintama’ will premiere on April 4. Crunchyroll subscribers in the Americas, Africa, Europe (excluding Andorra, Italy, Vatican City, Portugal, Spain, and San Marino), Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East (excluding Afghanistan and Iran) will have access to the series’ first episode 30 minutes after its Japanese TV broadcast. The episode will be available for free viewing one week later.

Crunchyroll will also simulcast studio P.A. Works’ 10th anniversary project, Hanasaku Iroha, starting April 3. The slice of life drama will be available to paying viewers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Brazil, and Portugal 90 minutes after its Japanese broadcast premiere. Episodes will be available for free viewing one week later.
