CPM Announces Utena Movie

Central Park Media has officially confirmed that a dubbed VHS and bilingual DVD version of the Shoujo Kakumei Utena movie: Adolescence Mokushiroku (Apocalypse of Adolescence) will debut in the US on October 23rd. The DVD version will be presented in Anamorphic widescreen and contain numerous bonus features and supplemental material including running director commentary from Kunihiko Ikuhara, a documentary on the making of the English dub supervised by Kunihiko Ikuhara, original Japanese TV ads and trailers, annotated storyboards and production sketch art, trivia, a “fan tribute,” Romanji subtitles for the songs (so American fans can sing along with the Japanese lyrics), and special DVD-ROM features including an art gallery, director’s commentary script, movie script, more trivia, “fan list,” and cast & production credits.

CPM does currently posess the English language translation and distribution rights to the remainder of the Revolutionary Girl Utena TV series, so more TV episodes will be forthcoming.
