Cowboy Bebop Movie Premiere Update

A public completion ceremony for the Cowboy Bebop movie was held in Tokyo on August 4th. Hosted by voice actors Hirokazu Yamadera (Spike), Megumi Hayashibara (Faye) and the director Shin-ichi Watanabe, a version of the film was screened to the audience, but Watanabe admitted that the film is actually still not in “complete” finished form and may still get slight additional audio or video footage added before its official Japanese theatrical premier in the first week of September.

Cowboy Bebop: Tengoku no Tobira (Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door) begins like any other normal Cowboy Bebop adventure on Mars, but after a devastating explosion on a highway, an unknown disease begins to spread, quickly claiming over 500 victims. As the local government sets the highest bounty in history for the capture for the person responsible, Spike and crew move into action. The only problem is that the person responsible is officially deceased.
