Cartoon Network to Co-Produce Anime

Plans have been revealed at the recent Tokyo Anime Fair for the Cartoon Network to co-produce two new Japanese animated series.

The Cartoon Network and Production I.G. will expand the 2003 IGPX short animated series into a full length series for American broadcast this fall.

The Cartoon Network and Japan’s Aniplex and Toei Animation also revealed plans to produce an original Power Puff Girls animated series titled “Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z.” Japan’s AV Watch hosts two sample images of the production: image one, image two.
