Cartoon Network Adult Block

The Cartoon Network has announced a new block of programming to premier on September 2nd titled “Adult Swim.” The Adult Swim block, aimed at viewers ages 18-34, will broadcast on Sunday and Thursday nights from 10 PM through 1 AM (ET, PT) and current plans include five new series and new episodes Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

The rotating Adult Swim line up will debut with new episodes of “Home Movies,” a show about a shy third-grade film-maker, and a number of Cartoon Network created shows:

Sealab 2021, a kitschy update of the Hanna-Barbera production about an undersea city, featuring the voice talents of Eric Estrada.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, the story of an elite group of detectives who happen to be human-sized food products.

Harvey Birdman, the world’s first animated courtroom drama, trying the crimes and misdemeanors of the cartoon world, like when Shaggy gets pulled over in the Mystery Machine for “possession.”

Leave It to Brak, a Space Ghost: Coast to Coast spin-off which parodies the beloved tenets of classic family sitcoms but with a wry sensibility and plenty of catchy songs.
