Captain Earth Teaser Released

Studio Bones has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming original robot anime television series Captain Earth. Takuya Igarashi, Yoji Enokido, and Shigeto Koyama, respectively the director, screenwriter, and mecha designer of Bones’ 2010 robot anime series Star Driver, are reprising their duties on Captain Earth, a “traditional robot anime” about a teen boy who must pilot the “Earth Engine” robot to defend the earth from attack by aliens from Uranus. The show will premiere in April.

Not exactly sure why, but I get a very “Gunbuster” vibe from this trailer.
