Capcom vs SNK 2 is Capcom’s Final 2D Fighter?

In a recent interview with the Japanese Dreamcast Magazine published by Softbank Publishing, Capcom’s general producer of development Noritaka Funamizu revealed that Capcom vs SNK 2 will be Capcom’s final 2D fighting game (for at least the foreseeable future).
