Capcom announces Biohazard 5th Anniversary Commemorative Package

Capcom of Japan recently announced that it will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Biohazard series (better known to English speaking gamers as Resident Evil) by releasing a limited edition Biohazard 5th Anniversary Commemorative Package: The Nightmare Returns. The special package will contain Playstation copies of the uncut, uncensored Dual Shock Biohazard Director’s Cut, Biohazard 2 and Biohazard 3, and Biohazard – Code: Veronica Complete, the upcoming Playstation 2 remix of the Dreamcast game. The Code: Veronica title will include a demo disc of Capcom’s latest upcoming survival horror/action game Devil May Cry. The package will also come with a set of individually numbered dog tags, a chrome ball point pen, a stationary binder, a medal in the shape of a crow, a silver crow ring, a crow key holder, and a serially numbered aluminum attach case. Only 10,000 copies of the Biohazard Commemorative Collection will be produced. The 28,000 yen package will go on sale in Japan on March 22nd.

For purposes of clarification, the American release of Resident Evil: Director’s Cut restored the graphic gore edited out of the original US release of Resident Evil, but opening movie scenes of Chris Redfield smoking a cigarette were still edited out of the American Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.
