BGameBox Responds to Rape Game Ban

Japanese PC game digital distributor BGameBox has posted a notification that in accordance with requests from Japanese computer game ratings committees, the categories “ryojoku” (rape) and “choukyo” (sexual training) were removed from the site as of July 31. However, BGameBox’s separate e-mail newsletter informed readers that the ryojoku category has been renamed “Platinum category” and the choukyo category has been re-named “Thoroughbred category.” Games offered in both categories are presently still available, but may disappear without warning.
