Berserk Not Coming to the US?

According to a rumor posted on the Rec.Arts.Anime.Misc newsgroup, the reason for Urban Vision’s stalled acquisition of the domestic rights to the Berserk anime TV series is that the Japanese licensor would not include DVD distribution rights, which was a deal breaker for Urban Vision. The 25 episode Berserk TV series will be released in a DVD boxed set in Japan for 31,500 yen on March 20th. Also included in the set will be a booklet and a calendar.
