Bandai News from Project A-kon

At last weekend’s A-kon convention, Jerry Chu of Bandai Entertainment revealed that the .hack//SIGN anime TV series will probably debut in America next year. “Carried by the Wind” (Kaze Makase Tsukikage Ran) will be available in America “soon.”

DVD boxed sets of Outlaw Star and the Gundam Wing TV series will be released this Christmas. Both sets will simply be the individual DVDs inside a cardboard slipcase, and neither slipcase will be available separately.

The Big O 2 is being developed between Sunrise Animation in Japan and the Cartoon Network in America. Bandai Entertainment is not involved in the production or distribution at all.

Bandai is apparently in negotiations for the English language distribution rights to more of the Love Hina animation, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Although there are no confirmed American licensees, Bandai of Japan apparently would like to see the recent Onegai Teacher and Galaxy Angel TV series released in America.
