Bandai Acquires Nichijou & Gosick

Bandai has announced its acquisition of domestic distribution rights to the current Nichijou and recently concluded Gosick anime TV series along with the Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya (Code Geass: Renya of the Darkness) manga series.

Kyoto Animation is currently producing Nichijou, an adaptation of Keiichi Arawi’s off-kilter slice-of-life gag comedy. Crunchyroll has been streaming the series since its Japanese premiere last April.

The Gosick historical mystery series from studio BONES aired in Japan from January to June. Crunchyroll streamed the series for international viewers.

The Code Geass: Shikkoku no Renya is an official prequel to the Code Geass anime, set in Japan’s historical Edo era. The ongoing manga series is written by Code Geass co-creator and anime director Goro Taniguchi and drawn by Tomomasa Takuma.
