Bakumatsu Rock Anime Announced

Animedia magazine has revealed word that Marvelous AQL’s PSP “adventure rhythm” game Bakumatsu Rock will get an anime TV series adaptation this July. The historical fantasy pits rock & roll & pro-Westernization revolutionary Ryoma Sakamoto against the pro-shogunate Shinsengumi rockers headlined by Toshizo Hijikata & Souji Okita. Sengoku Basara television series director Itsuro Kawasaki will helm the production at studio DEEN. The voice cast of the original game will reprise its roles for the anime.
