Baka Mukashi Banashi Movie Announced

The Baka Mukashi Banashi Gekijouban ~Jijii Wars~ (Silly Folk Tails the Movie ~Old Man Wars~) motion picture will hit Japanese theaters on May 18. Keiko Sootome and Toru Hosokawa, the artists behind the 2010 picture book that satirizes classic Japanese folk tales and the classic 1795 Manga Nihon Mukashi Banashi television anime series, will co-direct the feature film from a scrip that Hosokawa wrote. The Baka Mukashi Banashi picture book was also adapted into a 2011 anime OVA.
