Atlantis Designs

Animation Blast has put together a very interesting look at the character designs for the upcoming Disney movie Atlantis. The first article posted is a look at the Atlantean citizens and mecha that will populate the movie’s backgrounds. The movie will be a combination of traditional cel animation and CGI from the directorial team of Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notra Dame), and is being touted as the next plateau in Disney animation – a widescreen, non-musical, sci-fi/fantasy adventure with designs inspired by the work of comic artist Mike Mignola (Hellboy).
