Ask John: Ranma 1/2 Next Generation Console Games?

Question:
Has there ever been a Ranma 1/2 video game for Playstation?

Answer:
Ranma 1/2: Battle Renaissance, a 3D fighting game, was released in Japan in December 1996 and quickly went out of print, for good reason. Die-hard Ranma fans may vaguely appreciate the CG rendered intro featuring the cast enjoying a typically chaotic meal, but the CG models are so poor and non-descript that the characters are only identifiable by their clothes. The actual 2D fighting, rendered totally in 3D computer graphics, ranks as one of the worst fighting games ever released because of poor control, an interminably slow pace, poor animation, and some of the worst computer AI ever. A quick search on ebay resulted in copies of this game going for $35.
