Ask John: Are Sailor Neptune and Uranus Homosexual?

I was wondering if Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are really lesbians? I’ve seen several fan created web pages that say they are and several others say that they are not. Could please clear this up for me?

Answer:
As far as I’m aware, not being much of a Sailormoon fan, the Sailormoon animation never presents any overt carnal or sexual relationship between Sailors Neptune and Uranus, but according to numerous web-sites and this article from the Astyle on-line magazine, Sailormoon creator Naoko Takeuchi has publicly acknowledged that Kaiou Michiru (Sailor Neptune) and Ten’ou Haruka (Sailor Uranus) are lesbians.
