Armitage III Series Sequel Confirmed Amidst Misconstrued Lain Sequel Reports

Pioneer Executive Producer Hideki Goto has personally confirmed with Jonah Morgan of Anime News Service that there are no current publicly announced plans for a Serial Experiments Lain series sequel, and circulating internet reports of such a sequel have apparently come about by some misconstrued facts surrounding the revelation that Pioneer Animation is working on a sequel to the Armitage III OAV series / movie.
