Animerica Extra Canceled

Viz has officially announced that volume 7 issue 12 will be the final issue of Animerica Extra Magazine. The English language release of the Banana Fish and Fushigi Yuugi manga series will continue in graphic novel format. Fushigi Yuugi graphic novel 14 and Banana Fish graphic novel 7 will be released in April 2005. Times Two and SOS graphic novels will also be released next spring.

Consumers whose subscriptions are cut short by the cancellation of the magazine will receive pro-rated refund checks by mail.
