Japanese film & television studio TMS (Tokyo Movie Shinsha) has confirmed that Fox Television has decided not to license Meitantei Conan for reasons of violent content. A year ago, rumor circulated that Detective Conan would be coming to America on the Fox television network. Although the series is a wildly popular with families and children viewers in Japan, the graphic bloodshed and frequent violent murders within the show were apparently too much for Fox to consider the series viable as family entertainment in America.

According to Frank Pannone of Software Sculptors, although Central Park Media was excluded from involvement in the Slayers TV broadcast deal between Fox Kids and Enoki Films, the Central Park Media/Software Sculptors dub will be used for the Fox Kids television broadcast of Slayers.
