Right Stuf has revealed that Kareshi Kanojo no Jijoo is now tentatively scheduled for release in the US in spring 2002.

In a change of plans, none of the remaining Maho Tsukai Tai DVDs from Media Blasters will come housed in the special first edition clear DVD cases.

Viz has revealed that they’re currently loosing money on the home video release of Maison Ikkoku as each new subtitled VHS release sells an average of only 400 copies. Plans for a DVD release are progressing, though. Viz, in association with Pioneer, will likely release several Maison DVD boxed sets with episodes 1-36 bilingual and episodes 37-96 subtitled only. The DVD sets will not contain any bonus features but will attempt to be, “as cost effective as possible, i.e. shove as many episodes on a disk as will fit.”
