Anime Distributor Seeks To Legally Sell Fansubs

Florida based company International Anime Distribution (IAD) has announced its intentions to develop a method of charging for legally approved downloads of fan produced anime translations. IAD is in negotiations with Japanese content owners seeking authorization to distribute select anime series, and is interested in negotiating with amateur fan translators interested in being paid to create their formerly non-profit fansubs.

At the present time, IAD appears to be a working business plan with no content and no professional supporting partners from the anime industry or fan translating community.
