Anime Colony Retracts Lain 2 Comments

Anime Colony has stated that Hideki “Henry” Goto, Pioneer’s vice president of animation, “retracted” an earlier statement that Pioneer planned to produce a sequel to Serial Experiments Lain. Goto told Anime Colony that there is no sequel to Lain in the works. [Editor’s note: according to Jonah Morgan of Anime News Service, who also spoke directly to Pioneer Animation, Henry Goto never mentioned a potential Lain sequel in the first place, and rumors of a sequel were purely the result of a misunderstanding.]
