An Anime Channel?

J.B. Casta, a representative of the influential grass-roots Toonami news and support site CNX Toonami Revolution, passed along some interesting news and predictions in a discussion on the Toonami Campaign message board. His statements are quoted below.

“Endless Waltz, a three-episode sequel to Gundam Wing WILL be on Toonami in a form of a movie later in the year as well as a three-part Rising Sun even later in the year. The only reason it didn’t air immediately after the initial run of GW is because they didn’t want to give the public all of the episodes at once. Besides, it’s giving the fans something to look forward too instead of just watching the same old episodes over and over until our eyes bleed…. There will be an all-Toonami network sometime within the next two years, and, if Starz! Encore has its way, there will be an all-anime network before year’s end. An all-anime network that you want would be run similarly to the other Starz! Encore networks as a premium network. In August, there will be a marathon on either Starz or Encore that will be an all-day event showing some of the best Japanese animated movies and series including Ghost in the Shell, Macross, and several others. Starz! Encore has the resources to make an all-anime network a reality, and they’ll likely be the first to do it.”
