American Gameboy Advance Launch Halved

While the Japanese launch of the Gameboy Advance reported no shortages or problems, Nintendo has announced that the American launch, scheduled for June 11th, will be reduced from 1 million available units to only 500,000 units available nationwide. Nintendo anticipates having the initially scheduled million units available in the US by the end of June. The initial shortage is to allow Nintendo to distribute more Gameboy Advance units to other international markets during the same time period.
