Akira DVD Update

Anime on DVD has heard that the “six months” comment by a Pioneer representative at the Electronics Boutique trade show in regards to Akira raised a few eyebrows. Akira will definitely not be released this year. No exact release date has been set, but the disc is currently scheduled for a 2001 release.
