Akira DVD Information

Anime on DVD has learned that the released of Akira on VHS and DVD has changed from July 3rd to July 24th, possibly to avoid debuting the disc during the holiday weekend when shoppers will be outside rather than in stores.

The first 75,000 copies of the two-disc special edition DVD set will be packaged in a limited edition tin. After the tins run out, Akira will be available in a standard two disc DVD case.
