AD Vision Confirms Full Metal Panic & Noir Licenses

The April cover-dated issue of Play Magazine includes an interview with John Ledford, Marvin Gleicher, and John O’Donnell, the operating presidents of AD Vision, Manga Entertainment and Central Park Media respectively. When asked about future releases, John Ledford is quoted:

ADV has an extensive list of titles that we have acquired but not yet announced for strategic reasons. What I can mention are some of the anime titles that I am personally looking forward to in 2002: “Excel Saga,” “Saiyuki- Paradise Raiders,” “Full Metal Panic,” “Spriggan,” “Lady Death,” and “N…” (I’ll have to let readers figure that last one out.)

While this is not quite the same as an official acquisition announcement, this comment from the President of AD Vision seems like a reliable announcement of AD Vision’s English language distribution license to Gonzo Studio’s current mecha action TV series Full Metal Panic and last year’s cult hit Noir.
