Accidental Spy US Bound

Variety Magazine has reported that Dimension Films has acquired the international distribution rights, excluding Asia, to The Accidental Spy, Jackie Chan’s latest Chinese-language film in which Chan’s character becomes entangled in an international conspiracy when he comes to believe that he is the lost son of a wealthy Korean entrepreneur. The movie will be dubbed into English for U.S. audiences.

Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of Miramax Films, which owns Dimension, told Variety that they are delighted to be distributing the film. “We’re thrilled to continue our successful relationship with Jackie Chan,” said Weinstein. “He is the biggest action star in the world and it’s exciting to be in business with him.”
