Second Berserk Series Planned?

Anime News Service was able to confirm at AX 2000, through a second-hand party, that there are current tentative plans to produce a second Berserk animation series. Currently, all that’s known is that production will commence at some point in the future and it should be stressed that even this is tentative. Editorial note: Like many manga series, the tone of Berserk evolves as the series progresses. The part currently animated was more suited to television than others. If another Berserk series is planned for television, it will be interesting to see how it maintains the tone and intensity of the manga, and still remains acceptable for Japanese television broadcast.
