The decision comes as a response to a complaint from the Hillcrest Intermediate School in Pennsylvania, where a 5th grader purchased a copy of the magazine. School principal Rosemarie Dvorchak cited empowered by smoking cigarettes, mild profanity, a character with a swastika on his forehead and a female character who asks readers to buy the comic again so they can see which &#8220;hot guy&#8221; would die in the next issue. According to Dvorchak, &#8220;It&#8217;s against what we&#8217;re teaching, it&#8217;s against our DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Scholastic Inc. representative Teryl McLane acknowledged, &#8220;We try to be thorough, but there is a challenge with cultural differences.
