Toei does not want Sailormoon associated with anything &#8220;adult&#8221; in America. As long as the franchise stays child friendly, parents won&#8217;t be afraid to continue buying Sailormoon videos and merchandise.  If Sailormoon is broadcast late at night on an &#8220;adult&#8221; program, parents may be concerned over adult content in Sailormoon and deem it inappropriate for children.
