The course will, &#8220;Explore the popularity of anime in relation to the cultural conditions of contemporary Japan and to the context of cultural globalization which is radically transforming the way audio-visual images are produced and consumed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>New York University&#8217;s Center for Advanced Digital Applications will also be offering an eight-session summer class titled &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyu.edu\/summer\/courses\/scps-digital.nyu#3\" target=\"_blank\">Anime: Japanese Animation-The Look<\/a>,&#8221; a course primarily intended for animation industry professionals and focusing on the distinct, technical production aspects of Japanese animation.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Nevada&#8217;s Division of Educational Outreach will offer a course titled &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unlv.edu\/Colleges\/Continuing_Ed\/photography_video.html#japanese_animation\" target=\"_blank\">Introduction to Anime<\/a>&#8221; March 8 and April 26, 2003.
