The first Cutey Honey anime was a 25 episode TV series from 1973. Cutey Honey was then revived in the early 1990s in two 4 episode OAV series titled Shin Cutey Honey and Shin Cutey Honey Flash. AD Vision released both series in their entirety under the title New Cutey Honey. In 1997 a second Cutey Honey TV series, titled Cutey Honey F (Cutey Honey Flash), premiered. Cutey Honey F was unlike any previous Cutey Honey because it was not mainly intended for male viewers. The titillation of classic Go Nagai Cutey Honey was replaced with shoujo sentiment. Cutey Honey F took over the timeslot of Sailormoon when the Sailorstars season ended and was intended to capture the Sailormoon audience. Cutey Honey F was popular enough to last for 39 episodes and 1 hour long theatrical movie. Currently a new full CG Cutey Honey OAV series is in production in Japan. The new OAV series is an AD Vision co-production, so will be released in America eventually. At the present time there are no plans that I’m aware of for an American release of Cutey Honey F.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Question: I have heard rumors that there is going to be more New Cutey Honey.
