Media Blasters has issued a public request for applications for the position of production assistant.<\/p>\n
Duties: The Production Assistant’s primary duties will be assisting the Production Supervisor with the subtitle scripts, subtitle timing, and quality checking. However, Production Assistant is also a “fill in the gap” position, and one might find him\/her self doing all manner of errands.<\/p>\n
Job skills: The employee should primarily be able to learn new software and other technical systems quickly. Familiarity with non-linear editing systems, Excel, Word, and consumer level DVD technology is a must. A candidate should also be very comfortable manipulating the English language, both on a conversational and grammatical level. Familiarity with the Japanese language is preferred. Familiarity with Media Blasters product is a bonus.<\/p>\n
Mentality: The Production Assistant position requires attention to detail and perseverance above all else. Job candidates should not be afraid of long hours, nor occasional tedious projects. This is a professional position, so the job candidate should be more than capable of interacting in a professional environment. Working with a team is key, both professionally and socially. Relating and communicating effectively with co-workers is what makes a small production department like Media Blasters work.<\/p>\n
