Despite the &#8220;anime&#8221; aesthetic, the series is entirely American, produced by <em>Dredd<\/em> (2012) and <em>A Walk Among the Tombstones<\/em> (2014) executive producer Adi Shankar, written by acclaimed comic book writer Warren Ellis (<em>Transmetropolitan<\/em>, <em>Planetary<\/em>), and animated by <a href=\"http:\/\/frederator.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Frederator Studios<\/a> (<em>Adventure Time<\/em>).
