{"id":35832,"date":"2015-10-29T12:27:47","date_gmt":"2015-10-29T16:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.animenation.net\/blog\/?p=35832"},"modified":"2015-10-29T12:32:28","modified_gmt":"2015-10-29T16:32:28","slug":"the-ninja-scroll-that-never-was","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.animenation.net\/blog\/the-ninja-scroll-that-never-was\/","title":{"rendered":"The Ninja Scroll That Never Was"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2008 Warner Brothers and Appian Way acquired the rights to produce an American film adaptation of Madhouse&#8217;s 1993 anime film <i>Jubei Ninpucho<\/i>, widely known as &#8220;Ninja Scroll.&#8221; Evidently as recently as 2012 <i>Dracula Untold<\/i> director Gary Shore was still developing plans for the American film. Shore has now publicly released the proof of concept film that he directed for Warner Bros.&#8217; executives as a rough demonstration of his vision for a motion captured CG animated film adaptation. The CG quality is relatively primative because this short was only meant to be a visual aid, but even in its very rough form it&#8217;s strikingly faithful to its source material and cinematically dynamic.
