The movie will compete against France&#8217;s Ernest and Celestine, and Hollywood&#8217;s The Croods, Frozen, and Despicable Me 2 for the Oscar. Miyazaki&#8217;s 2001 film Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (&#8220;Spirited Away&#8221;) won the 2002 Oscar for Best Animated Film.
