Since its release in Japan on January 25th, the title has remained at #1 on Famitsu Magazine’s sales charts and has become the best selling PlayStation 2 game ever. Extermination will set the player in a military base over-run by biomechanical mutants and monsters, victims of an experiment gone wrong. What sets Extermination apart from Biohazard or other “survival horror” games is that Extermination is molded in the style of a Western action movie, placing the gameplay emphasis on quicktime events and sudden reactions rather than slow, methodical exploration. The game is scheduled for release in Japan on March 8th.

Source: GameSpot

Capcom has officially announced March 14th as the American release date for Onimusha.
