{"id":2829,"date":"2000-12-26T10:22:00","date_gmt":"2000-12-26T14:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.animenation.net\/blog\/2000\/12\/26\/oni-news\/"},"modified":"2000-12-26T10:22:00","modified_gmt":"2000-12-26T14:22:00","slug":"oni-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.animenation.net\/blog\/oni-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Oni News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 69 Meg PC demo version of the anime inspired action game Oni has been posted online for download by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avault.com\/pcrl\/demo_temp.asp?game=oni\" target=\"_blank\">The Adrenaline Vault<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dave Clark was kind enough to alert us of a 75.5mb demo version of Oni for Macintosh users available through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macgamer.com\/features\/oni_demo\/oni_demo.html\" target=\"_blank\">Macgamer.com<\/a>. The Mac demo is carbonized for those using OSX.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dhcomics.com\/news\/features\/pg_feview\/sku_00238\/item_00238a\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Dark Horse Comics<\/a> will be releasing a comic book adaptation of the game starting February 14th.  The artist Sonny Lee commented about the anime\/manga style of the game, &#8220;Because the book&#8217;s look is supposed to have more of the anim\u00e9 feel than manga, I&#8217;ve also studied a bit of Macross and Macross Plus, Ninja Scroll, Gatchaman, and some Satoshi Urushara from Plastic Little anim\u00e9.&#8221; &#8220;And there are a whole slew of other sources from the many comics I&#8217;ve read and many more artists that I&#8217;ve studied both in American and Japanese comics that just brought this together.
