Sayo Yamamoto (Michiko to Hatchin) is directing the 13-episode series with Redline director Takeshi Koike acting as animation director &#038; character designer. This first Lupin TV series in 27 years is designed to evoke the &#8220;sensuality&#8221; of creator Monkey Punch&#8217;s original Lupin III manga, serialized from 1967-1972.
