Yammie, the creator of the popular series of “Yappo Island” children’s picture books, will write & direct a stop-motion animation series titled Fushigi no Yappo Shima ~ Pukipuki to Poi<\/i> (Mysterious Yappo Island ~ Pukipuki & Poi) for broadcast on the NHK Educational network from Monday through Friday from January 9 until February 10. The series of five-minute episodes will depict the adventures of young girl Pukipuki and Poi, a monkey with a rainbow-colored face, on the odd, relaxed little island Yappo.<\/p>\n
