Warner Brothers Japan has announced that Umizaru director Eiichiro Hasumi will helm a feature film adaptation of Mikiya Mochizuki’s gritty and violent 1969 police action manga series Wild 7. 28 year-old actor Eita (Densha Otoko, Nodame Cantabile) will star as Dairoku Hiba, the leader of a secret team of motorcycle cops that act outside the law to enforce justice. The manga was adapted into a 1972-1973 live action television series, a 1994 OVA series, and a 2002 anime television series.<\/p>\n
