I am really outraged about CardCaptors! I just got done watching the first episode on the WB! Ok, I understand they changed some of the character’s names, but did they have to rewrite the script? Did they have to make Tomoyo-chan, Sakura-chan and Lee-kun sound like they were on 90210? And what’s up with Kero-chan sounding like a ninja turtle? They even edited the anime itself! Plus it starts off several episodes away from the true beginning! [Editor’s note: the first American episode was Japanese episode 8.] Is this what we have to look forward to? Look at Pokemon; it’s very close to the original Japanese version, so why did they have to mutilate Card Captor Sakura! What’s going to happen when Escaflowne is aired? Probably the same thing! [Editor’s note: this is merely a rumor. There are currently no plans for Escaflowne to air on US television.] I will be really angry if the DVD subbed version isn’t direct from the original, uncut and translated properly! And commercial companies wonder why fans support fansubbed versions of anime. Thanks a lot WB for mutilating a beautiful Japanese anime series!<\/p>\n
