Fuminori Kaneko, director of the live action Kisarazu Cat&#8217;s Eye and Ikebukuro West Gate Park television series, will begin shooting the film next spring.<\/p>\n<p>The 2005 and ongoing manga is set in an alternate history medieval Japan in which a disease has decimated the male population, leading to a matriarchal society.
